Biography:

World renowned futurist Peter Schwartz is the co-founder and chairman of the Global Business Network -- a unique network of strategists, scientists, artists and business executives specialising in corporate scenario planning and research into potential future business environments.

Formerly Schwartz headed scenario planning at Royal Dutch/Shell Group, where he predicted the collapse of oil prices in the 1980s, enabling Shell to prepare for this eventuality, and directed the Strategic Environment Centre at SRI International. Schwartz is the author of The Art of the Long View and is the co-author of two other books, Seven Tomorrows and the Emergent Paradigm.
