Biography:
Michael Boskin, Professor of Economics at Stanford University, is internationally recognised for his economic research and contributions to United States government policy. He is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, an adjunct scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
In the past he taught at the University of California, Harvard and Yale. Boskin was the chairman of the US President's Council of Economic Advisers (1989-93), the Congressional Commission on the Consumer Price Index (1995-97) and is currently an adviser to the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation and the Congressional Budget Office. He serves on various other philanthropic, corporate and government boards. Boskin has written over one hundred books and articles and writes regularly on economic issues for the media. He is the recipient of numerous professional awards and honours.
