Biography:

Widely recognised by the professional community as a leading expert in the application of technology to education, Linda Roberts is the United States Department of Education's first special adviser on education technology. She has also served as project director at the Congressional Office of Technological Assessment and been widely consulted by the policy community, local groups and corporations.

Roberts's research has helped design programs to put television, computers and video to innovative uses in education. Roberts was named as one of the ten "Educators of the Decade" in 1991, by Electronic Learning.
