Biography:

At the forefront of efforts to bring knowledge from psychology and neuroscience into education and human development programmes, Jean Houston is a world renowned philosopher and educator. She specialises in the development of methods to increase physical and mental skills as well as learning and creativity. She is much sought after as a speaker and a prolific author with over 15 books to her name, including Public Like a Frog, The Hero and The Goddess, The Possible Human and her autobiography A Mythic Life.

Aside from holding a number of University positions, Houston has been at the centre of teaching-learning communities world-wide and founded The Possible Society, to devise new ways for people to solve societal problems, and served as an advisor to UNICEF implementing programmes in Myanmar and Bangladesh. She has been honoured with a variety of awards.
