Biography:

The Foreign Policy editor of the German news magazine Der Spiegel since 1986, Dr. Hans-Peter Martin is an experienced political journalist and foreign correspondent. He has also worked as a freelance writer and has published several books.

Books he has authored include Bitter Pills and The Global Trap -- an exploration of the effects of globalisation on society. Martin's books have been critically acclaimed as well as best-sellers. He is an associate member of the Club of Rome.
